COMMUNITY CREATIVES
Centering and connecting the creative economy of Athens, Ohio – from working artists to local businesses to YOU!
The Athens Quilt Trail's goal is not only showing off how cool our local creatives are, but also to economically benefit them too!
We do this in loads of ways, including:
Installing collaborative art making stations in local businesses
And paying them for generously sharing their space with us!
Cool and creative folks like you come out and make artwork
And bring in foot-traffic during the time of year when small businesses and artists need more attention
For your artistic contributions, pick out a free locally crafted prize at each art station around town
It may be free for you, but we paid each and every artist for their awesome work to be here!
Check out your art and the community's art in an exhibition at
Donkey Coffee
Catch the reception on March 6th from 5-7pm – we'll have snacks from the local micro-bakery Flour & Thyme!
All your hard work will be on permanent display in even MORE local organizations!
This means all the art made by the community stays with and beautifies the community.
Explore all of the artists, businesses and organizations that make this possible!
Show 'em some love by buying their work and following their socials :)

Right outside of the Ohio University campus in Athens, Ohio, is a space set aside to meet people’s pressing needs. We’re not a church. We’re not part of the university. We’re a third space practicing radical hospitality. All are welcome here.

Special thanks to The Dairy Barn for their feedback and resource sharing over the summer of 2025. I was able to partner with and represent them at the 2025 Pawpaw Festival and create pop-up interactive art pieces during the 2025 Quilt National. From sharing tents, tables and tips to believing in this project during its infancy, I can't thank The Dairy Barn enough for their support!
Rooted in its unique history, The Dairy Barn Arts Center enriches lives and cultivates community through equitable access to the arts.
